It feels so nice to see all of you again as I stand at my various safety patrol posts :)

Hello Again,
In between all those fun summer camps your children my find themselves with some "idle" time.  On the page labeled "Activities" there are a series of interactive sites that will I think are fun and inspire creativity.  I have separated the sites out by grade level, but this is a loose sorting.  Please feel free to try all of them, regardless the age of your children :)

Greetings,
Summer break is quickly approaching and I am sure you children are beginning to show their excitement.

I always seem to stumble across new things at the end of the year :)

For instance I have finally had the chance to try out a web application called Wallwisher.

Wallwisher allows a person to create a website were "sticky notes" can be posted on any topic.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
This Sunday the 8th grade students will be participating in a historic event.

On 10-10-10 people from across the planet will recorde the human experience over a 24 hour period, and contribute their voice to largest participatory event in history.  Together we will showcase the amazing diversity, conflict, tragedy, and triumph that occurs in one day on our planet, creating a time capsule, a unique global mosaic that will express who we are.

Welcome Back to another great school year.

This year I have joined an organization called Iearn www.iearn.org

Iearn is a well established facilitator for making connections with other classrooms around the world and working on projects with those classes.

Working online with people using tools that allow us to work together while in different locations is an important skill to learn in today's world.
